Don Narciso Café: A spectacular scenery to visit

Months ago, my friends invited me to go to Claveria. I asked them why I had to go to Claveria where I could spend my days and nights at home. The physical distancing regulations and the stay-at-home policies were underway, and these rules compelled me to remain immobile. Of course, I was afraid that police officers would catch me in the open when my only reason for going out was to have some fun. I knew police officers would be mad at me knowing that I would only find places to enjoy while the rest were struggling and suffering from the crisis. Besides, fines, once being caught, were high. As a result, I had to stay at home and waited for the COVID-19 pandemic to subside.

Conversely, the pandemic has been plaguing the country and the world as well. It has been pushing me to extend my patience. It made me feel even sicker and more bored than usual. Some of my friends back home died because of depression, mental torture, and stress. Without anything on a table due to no food, no job, and no medicine and without any support from the government, some of my friends perished. They died in vain. Even if the national government and the local government helped the people, there were a few officials who failed to show compassion and humanity. They supported their rich friends, or they only helped those people whom they knew. Anyway, I should move on to the present situation. I had to change my perspective in life. I could not turn back times, and we have been in this together. So, I took my chances to go outside and to enjoy just a little bit. I put my face mask on, wore my eyeglasses, and packed all my traveling apparels. Then, I contacted other friends to fetch me. Here they came. With their traveling garments on, we rode in a rented van going to Claveria to try to eliminate the stress and unwind just a little bit.

Traveling has been fun. It seemed that my friends and I just traveled back in time. While traveling, I let go of my musings that evoked my childhood experiences. However, I managed to return to my realities when other friends told me that we were in Claveria then. Yes, we were in Claveria. With more than a few minutes of traveling down the road to Claveria’s main site, we gladly reached it. Then, we head to Janopolan Nature Spring and Pool to Jaco’s Stopover, Claveria View Deck, and then awesome place Don Narciso Café. I felt impressed and overwhelmed seeing the panoramic view. Claveria’s mountainous site and its cold and freezing atmosphere permitted us to get off the van. So, we stopped right there, ordered some delicious and nutritious food, and got amazed by the splendor of the overlooking and mountainous area.

Additionally, Don Narciso Café has been awe-inspiring. Its food service, food taste, and view did, however, spell magic in me. I just loved the food and the vista that other tourists adored. In the back of mind, I realized that the province of Misamis Oriental constantly charmed those local and foreign travelers with gripping tourist attractions. This province gave vacationers some stunning sites that showcased eye-catching destinations for travel. Just like other provinces and regions, local businesses and local governments worked hard to promote their provinces. This time, the management of Don Narciso Café thrived in promoting Claveria and Misamis Oriental as well. As a result, numerous motorists and holidaymakers, who took Route 955, could stopover at Don Narciso Café for breakfast meals and snacks. As well, Don Narciso Cafe served some pasta, loaves of sandwiches, cups of coffee, and smoothies, as well as other cold drinks.

At this point, going outside to breathe and inhale fresh air helped us survive from boredom and depression. It even made us feel alive again. The COVID-19 pandemic has made us vulnerable to emotional and psychological illness because we just imprisoned ourselves in the four corners of our rooms. Psychologically, the physical distancing guidelines and the stay-at-home policies have made me ill. Some of my friends have just died because of depression, heart and panic attacks, and stroke. For me, I had to save myself. I had to go outside to breathe fresh air in the mountains. Since Don Narciso Café is open, I have to remove my boredom and stress. Mahaba Island: Discovering a miracle to embrace

Traveling beyond the province of Misamis Oriental after the COVID-19 pandemic appears to be an exciting adventure. Spending memorable moments outside Misamis Oriental does not mean that the province does not have awesome beach resorts but that going out of the comfort zone seems venturesome. Well, if we try to cherry-pick Mahaba Island as our place to go, then we can surely get a nice tour to Mahaba Island with our Cuatros Islas adventure in Leyte. Surprisingly, the place Cuatros Islas has been everything. We definitely have some pleasurable and astounding activities. Besides, Mahaba Island can be one of the best tourist beach destinations in the country. We know we are true as we see the white sand beaches. These white sand beaches that comfortably fill between our toes, the translucent with cerulean blue waters with a flamboyant and blossoming underwater ecosystem that catch our eyes, and the craggy beach escapades that give us some sort of excitement, somehow, offer us moments to unwind while eliminating the strain and tension of busy life in the metropolis.

How to Get There

If we are anywhere in the country, Philippines or in the world, we need to know the nearest airport known as the Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport, also known as Tacloban City Airport (Leyte). Well, we can also land on the Mactan Cebu International Airport (Cebu) if we wish to settle there.

By Air

Excitingly, we can check the fastest way to get to the group of islands by booking a flight from our location to Tacloban.

Once we are in Tacloban, we can get on an automobile or van traveling to Inopacan town. Well, the fare from Tacloban main proper to Inopacan is around ₱250. This trip will take us approximately 3 hours. Once we in Inopacan town, we can then rent a boat for island hopping. That is fun, isn’t it? The rental rates for boats depend on the number of members in a group. We can still spend overnight on one of the islands if we want to do it.

Local tourists go along Gingoog-Claveria-Villanueva Road that attracts local and even foreign tourists. As well, Project Lupad and Katawa Doodzkie have exciting presentations about the place with the best-captured photos in their gallery. Well, Claveria View Deck opens daily. The last time I knew was that View Deck opened from 7 AM to 7 PM. Tourists and travelers noted this place as an ideal layover for explorers and holidaymakers to relax and enjoy looking at the scenery.

Well, if we visit Claveria View Deck, we expect no entrance fee. We can surely enjoy ourselves looking at the grandeur of the place. Oh, others may ask how to get there. Well, from CDO Agora Terminal, you will spend 1 hour and 30 minutes to travel via jeepney to Poblacion Claveria for only ₱80.00. From the main junction or drop-off point, take a motorcycle for ₱20.00 to Barangay Lanise, Claveria in Misamis Oriental.

As well, from Cagayan de Oro, you can take the jeep and stop right there at Barangay Silaw, Villanueva Misamis Oriental for only ₱30.00 and then take a motorcycle for only ₱50.00 to Barangay Lanise, Claveria in Misamis Oriental.
